Professor Roopen Arya

Professor of Thrombosis and Haemostasis at Kings College London and Director of the King's Thrombosis Centre & Lead for Thrombosis and Haemostasis at King’s College Hospital

Professor Arya is the Clinical Lead for the National VTE Prevention Programme at NHS England As Director of the National VTE Exemplar Centres Network has overseen establishing more than 30 VTE exemplar centres.

With roles also including Lead Clinician and Deputy Clinical Director, Haematological Medicine at KCH, Network Strategic Development Lead for the Southern Haemophilia Network and Honorary Clinical Director for Thrombosis at NHS London, Prof Arya has research interests in: Venous Thromboembolism, Anticoagulation, Thrombophilia in Women's Health and the use of global coagulation assays to define bleeding and prothrombotic states.
