Loizos Georgiou
VTE Prevention Clinical Nurse Specialist, Princess Royal University Hospital and South Sites
Graduated from Nursing School of Cyprus in 2002 with a degree in General Nursing. Starter his career working in the Accident and Emergency department and then continued as an Intensive Treatment Unit nurse for several years in Limassol General Hospital in Cyprus. Completed his MSc in Health Care and Planning in 2015 at the Open University of Cyprus, and decided to move to London immediately after.
Worked with Cardiothoracic High Dependency and Recovery at King’s College Hospital from 2015. Joined the Kings’ Thrombosis Team, initially as a DVT and Coagulation nurse Specialist in June 2018 and became the VTE Prevention Clinical Nurse Specialist for Princess Royal University Hospital and the South Sites in December 2018.
