Dr Jane Kelly
Principal Pharmacist, Commercial Medicines Unit (CMU) NHS England and NHS improvement.
Jane has previously worked as a clinical pharmacist (cardiothoracics and anticoagulation) across a number of NHS trusts before moving into a regional pharmacy procurement role in 2005. In 2017 Jane joined the Commercial Medicines Unit in NHS England and NHS improvement.
As principal pharmacist in the CMU Jane is responsible for:
- the management and mitigation of medicines supply issues for NHS England, supported by a team of pharmacists and technicians;
leading on programs of work with national pharmacy procurement groups and supporting the development of national strategy and policies in relation to medicine procurement and medicine supply; and
- developing long term strategies to improve medicine supply chain resilience.
